GERMANY – Michael Rupp has been appointed Head of the Recycling Business Unit at Dieffenbacher, effective December 1, 2024.

He will lead the company’s waste wood recycling, waste-to-product solutions, and the development of fuel processing, with a focus on fluidized bed technology for solid fuel solutions.

“We are confident in Michael Rupp’s experience to drive the continued growth of our Recycling business and innovative solutions,” said Dieffenbacher CEO Christian Dieffenbacher. He also expressed thanks to Stefan Zipf, who had been covering the role on an interim basis while also overseeing the Wood business unit.

Before joining Dieffenbacher, Rupp spent over 30 years with the Andritz Group in Austria, initially in project management for the Pulp & Paper division, then as Sales Manager and Director for the Panelboard Group. From 2019, he served as Vice President of Andritz Panelboard and Managing Director of the Andritz subsidiary Modul Systeme until his departure.

“I’ve received a warm welcome from the Recycling team and am benefiting from their expertise,” said Rupp. “Together, we will continue advancing Dieffenbacher’s recycling business, providing our customers with cutting-edge solutions that offer a significant competitive advantage.”

Dieffenbacher is a leading manufacturer of press systems and complete production plants for the wood-based panels industry.
