URUGUAY - As part of its development plan in Uruguay Sodimac, the largest Home Improvement retailer in South America, recently opened its fourth store in Uruguay.
The new store is located in Plaza Italia shopping center in Montevideo.
As its other three stores it integrates the Homecenter and Constructor formats to respond in one place to the demand in equipment, remodeling, home decor as well as construction materials, hardware products and specialised services.
The new store with more than 8,700 m2 of sales area is located near the commercial heart of the city and employs 135 people, in addition to other indirect jobs of service providers.
“This opening allows us to reach another area of the city with our physical store and continue to consolidate our presence in Uruguay. We will also continue to strengthen the proposal and experience of the online channel to reach more and more Uruguayan homes ”, highlighted the manager of Sodimac Uruguay, Juan Luis Barandiaran.
The store will open with all the measures and strict security protocols that the company has implemented in the country to take care of customers and workers in the current health crisis.
