Chile, with an increase of 2.9 percent in its shipments in 2020, maintained its position as the second supplier country of PB / MDP to Peru with shipments for USD 23.7 million (2019: USD 23.0 million).
Spain, in third place, was the PB / MDP supplier country to Peru that grew the most in 2020, reaching USD 21.9 million (2019: USD 17.2 million), an improvement of 27.1 percent. Brazil followed with an increase of 3.2 percent, reaching USD 15.1 million (2019: USD 14.6 million).
Peru’s main importing company in 2020 was again Novopan Peru, with USD 44.2 million (2019: USD 43.9 million), which represented a slight increase of 0.6 percent and a participation of 40.6 percent of the country’s total imports of agglomerate. in the period.
The second importing company was Representaciones Martín with USD 20.7 million, a strong growth of 30.8 percent and a 19.0 percent share of the total value imported in the year, which is equivalent to an improvement of 3.3 percentage points (2019: 15.7 percent share).
Arauco Peru was the third largest importer in 2020 with USD 12.7 million. Followed by Masisa Peru, whose imports of PB / MDP fell 19 percent in 2020 to USD 9.9 million (2019: USD 12.2 percent).
They were followed by Maderas América, which went from importing USD 5.8 million of PB / MDP in 2019 to USD 8.1 million in 2020 with a notable growth of 51.3 percent.
