Abimóvel renews Brazilian Furniture Project agreement with Apex-Brasil

BRAZIL – On Thursday February 11 the president of ABIMÓVEL, the Brazilian Association of Furniture Industries, Maristela Cusin Longhi, attended in Brasilia (DF) the event to renew the agreement with Apex-Brasil, the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency.

920ABIMOVEL1 Both entities are co-creators of the Brazilian Furniture Project to promote the export of furniture, the association was officially renewed for the 2021-2023 biennium.

With a focus on business expansion and the internationalization of the national furniture industry through three important pillars “improving competitiveness, design integrated with industry and sustainability” the new phase of the project was expanded, with the participation of more than 170 associated companies and covering around 60 actions (face-to-face, hybrid and virtual), among the planned activities are: participation in international missions and trade fairs, Buyer Project, Seller Project, Image Project, Expo 2021/2022, market intelligence actions and market prospecting.

In prospecting mode ABIMÓVEL has already published the updated ranking of Brazilian Furniture’s target markets for this year. Among the priority countries are Germany, Chile, United Arab Emirates, United States, Mexico, Peru, United Kingdom and Canada, which appears as the newcomer of the list. Colombia, France, India, Italy and Panama also appear as potential markets.
