USA – Georgia-Pacific is investing USD 14 million to upgrade its plywood mill in Prosperity, South Carolina, with a focus on enhancing mill operations and improving efficiency.

A key element of the project is upgrading the existing boiler, which will increase fuel efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and create jobs during the renovation.
“This investment underscores our commitment to improving the mill and supporting the Prosperity community,” said Kevin Livingston, plant manager. “Along with the boiler upgrade, we are investing millions in other improvements to ensure the mill stays competitive and environmentally responsible.”
Operating since 1975, the Prosperity mill has been a leader in the building products industry, producing essential products like Plytanium® Plywood and Ply-Bead® sanded panels, used in both residential and commercial construction projects nationwide. The latest upgrades aim to maintain the mill’s position as an industry leader while continuing to contribute to the local economy and provide jobs in the area.
