CANADA – Dorel Industries, one of the largest canadian furniture manufacturers, announced that it recently experienced a network security incident resulting in an unauthorized third-party gaining access to certain of Dorel’s systems.

GERMANY – Nolte Küchen has been Germany’s favourite kitchen brand since 2015 – and now for the third time in succession.

DENMARK – Less than two years after Tvilum, Denmark’s largest furniture manufacturer, acquired the furniture factory in Kjellerup from Steens Group, the company is closing down production.

USA – HNI Corporation and Kimball International, Inc. announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement under which HNI will acquire all the outstanding shares of Kimball International in a cash and stock transaction valued at approximately USD 485 million.

USA – Steelcase has been named among the world’s leading brands on the Fortune 2023 World’s Most Admired Companies list for the 17th year, recognized as fourth in the Home Equipment and Furnishings category.

USA – American Woodmark Corporation, one of the largest kitchen cabinet manufacturers in North America, will increase its  kitchen and bath cabinet capacity for east coast markets.

USA – Fortune Brands announced that it has completed its previously announced spin-off of the Cabinets business creating two independent, publicly traded companies.

CANADA – Groupe Miralis recently announced a total investment of CAD 45 million (USD 33 million) for the start-up of two new high automation manufacturing plants, one in Saint-Anaclet-de-Lessard (near Rimouski) and another in Québec City.

USA – Steves & Sons, a high volume and family-owned door manufacturer, will invest over USD 100 million and create 170 jobs over the next three years as it builds a new, state-of-the-art facility in Jackson County, Georgia.
