GERMANY – On August 1st 2017 Vauth-Sagel, a privately held fittings manufacturer for the furniture industry, has taken over Hetal-Werke Franz Hettich GmbH & Co. KG, a Würth Group subsidiary.

VauthSagel Logo1 Hetal-Werke is a medium-sized German company that manufactures system components for the kitchen furniture and automotive industry based in Baden-Württemberg. With production sites in two sites in Alpirsbach and Betzweiler the company has around 50 employees.

Hetal-Werke joined the Würth Group, which also owns the Austrian company Grass, manufacturer of movement systems for the furniture industry, in 2007. In the past few years, the Hetal-Werke production area “drop down flap fittings” had already been transferred to Grass; since then, the Kinvaro product family, for example, is manufactured at the German Grass site in Reinheim.

“With Hetal-Werke, we are taking over a well established traditional company we are already extremely familiar with; we are also quite at home in the company’s areas of business, and our company and also our customers will therefore soon benefit from the respective synergies,” says Vauth-SagelCEO Heinz-Otto Sagel.
