SPAIN – The Spanish decorative paper printer Lamigraf announced the addition of Michel Contini, Chief Operating Officer and Martin Marxen, Director of Sales, Marketing and Design to its Board of Directors.
This measure aims to accelerate the company’s growth, as well as create an organizational structure that helps to continue to improve its market competitiveness.
Michel Contini, who took over as Lamigraf’s operations director (COO) in January this year, has extensive experience in the sector working for companies such as Coveright and Schattdecor. Based in L’Ametlla, Barcelona, Mr. Contini will have global responsibilities as he also takes part of the Board of Directors.
Martin Marxen, the new Director of Sales, Marketing and Design and now a member of the Board of Directors, brings to Lamigraf extensive experience in the sector having worked for many years for press plate market leader Hueck Rheinische and, more recently, as General Manager for Design Studio Hueck Design. Lamigraf sees in this appointment a crucial support for improving the company’s market position.
“In our sector, being perceived as a leader in Design is one of the most important factors to be successful. Together with cost competitiveness and service, design constitutes the value proposition offered to our customers. This is truer than ever in recent times, with firms investing in designs that go hand in hand with lifestyle trends that change faster every time,” says Pep Colomer, CEO of Lamigraf Group. He adds, “Design expertise is one of the main factors to explain how the firm is perceived in the market, hence its close relationship with areas like sales and marketing. I am convinced that this new structure will increase our agility and operational efficiency, as well as our design competitiveness and market positioning.”
Lamigraf is an international decorative paper printing group with 11 print lines distributed in production centers in Spain, Germany and Brazil. The company’s headquarters are located in L’Ametlla, Barcelona, Spain.
