The ninth edition of the fair, that in the second semester will host the Buenos Aires version, takes place until next Friday at the Forja Events Center. Completely sold out, FIMAR 2016 “expects promising results and the achievement of good business deals” said Gustavo Viano, Chairman of the FIMAR Executive Committee during the opening event. The opening ceremony was also attended by Roberto Avalle, Minister of Industry, Trade and Mining of the Government of the Province of Córdoba, and members of the Wood Chambers of Cordoba, San Francisco, Rio Cuarto and Canada de Gomez, organizers of the fair.

“The furniture industry has grown and has become an important part of the regional economy. We have already achieved growth in our industry, now we are committed to sustaining the sector” revealed Viano. “Facing a change of the economic matrix we must stop worrying and start getting busy, generating a differentiation value for our products and working in partnership with a collective attitude to achieve results,” he added.

In this edition over a hundred exhibitors are participating from eleven provinces of the country and include manufacturers of home, office, garden, commerce, and hospitality furniture, among others. During the three-day event, seven thousand qualified visitors, many of them buyers from large retail chains, are expected to attend.

This edition of FIMAR will also incorporate the first Argentine Congress of the Furniture Industry, aimed at manufacturers and entrepreneurs and centered on the theme “Marketing of Argentine furniture in the national and international levels”.

As in the previous edition, FIMAR 2016 will include the Argentine Furniture Salon (SMA). A space where new market trends are showcased through outstanding products that are distinguished for their formal and functional innovation, and the application of multiple materials that highlight Argentine talent.

In addition, as every year, the trade fair includes the Business Round meeting, organized in collaboration with the Pro Córdoba Agency. This year around fifty operators of large retail chains and buying groups are expected.
