COLOMBIA (Notifix) – MUMA, manufacturer of office and institutional furniture, was awarded the 2013 National Export Award in the category “Medium Enterprises”, in addition to also receiving an honorable mention for their commitment to the environment.
The National Export Award is given annually by Colombia’s National Association of Exporters (Analdex) and Proexport Colombia.
MUMA, a company with 60 years in the domestic market and an exporting experience of more than twenty years, is present in 18 countries in the Americas and the Caribbean, as well as venturing into the South Korea market. MUMA was highlighted by the jury as a company that constructs on the “country’s brand”, with designs and products committed to innovation in the global furniture market.
“The most important thing has been to believe in ourselves, believe that our product has the required standard to enter world markets. It is about self-esteem and confidence. We developed a world class product, sought allies and persevered in our exporting culture,” said Juan Carlos Bedoya, CEO of MUMA at the award ceremony.
