In June 2022, Uniboard initiated Phase 3, named Project Renaissance, which was divided into two distinct projects. The first part involved the construction of a new distribution/logistics center, completed and operational as of August 2023.

The second part of Phase 3 involves constructing a new production hall and installing a continuous 10-foot particleboard press and a 10-foot finishing line. Work on the press foundations and production hall commenced in the summer of 2023, with on-site receipt of production line containers. The new press line is set to be operational in the 1st Quarter of 2025, making the modernized Val d’Or particleboard/TFL facility the most advanced particleboard site in North America.

According to Hogg, the Val d’Or Renaissance project positions Uniboard to support the long-term growth of both existing and new customers in the future.
