Spanish Furniture Exports grow 13.4% between January and September 2022

SPAIN – During the first nine months of the year, Spanish furniture exports continued their growth trend with an increase of 13.4% to over EUR 2,181 million.

1011ESPAÑAThe results allow us to affirm that the pull of foreign demand for furniture will continue to strengthen the furniture sector with a foreseeable double-digit growth by the end of the financial year 2022.

Two European countries, France and Portugal, account for 43.7% of Spanish furniture exports and are at the forefront of the main destinations for Spanish furniture during the first nine months of 2022.

France maintains its leadership as the first destination of Spanish furniture with a percentage over the total exported of 29% and an increase of 4.7% between January and September 2022.

The United States is placed as the 3rd destination for Spanish furniture exports with a growing percentage of 7.2% of total exports and a significant growth of 25.4% in this period. Also noteworthy is the 18.3% increase in Spanish exports to the United Kingdom, overcoming the barriers resulting from Brexit. Morocco, in 7th place in the ranking of destinations, grew by 19.2%.

Mexico is also among the top ten destinations for Spanish furniture worldwide, with strong growth of +104.4%.
