BRAZIL – As reported by IBA (Brazilian Tree Industry), in 2022 the consumption of wood-based panels (Chipboard/MDP, MDF and Hardboard) in Brazil reached 6.99 million m3, a significant drop of 15.2 percent compared to the 8.25 million m3 reached in 2021.

BRAZIL – As reported by IBA (Brazilian Tree Industry), in the first nine months of 2021 (9M-2021) the consumption of wood-based panels (Chipboard/MDP, MDF and Hardboard) in Brazil reached 6.18 million m3, an increase of 23.0 percent compared to the 5.02 million m3 reached in 9M-2020.

Sharp drop in sales of leading Ecuadorian companies in 2020

ECUADOR – According to the annual ranking of the Top 1000 Ecuadorian companies by sales published by Ekos magazine, the seven companies in the wood and furniture segment that made it into the ranking saw their sales fall by 10.7 percent in 2020, reaching USD 345.4 million compared to USD 386.6 million in 2019.
