ITALY - Biesse Group – a leader in technology for the processing of wood among other materials – has communicated the financial results for 2023, the financial year closed with sales revenues of EUR 785 million, down 4.6% compared to the EUR 822.43 million obtained the previous year.
EBITDA, which fell by 14.9%, from EUR 90.56 million to EUR 77.03 million; consequently, the margin fell from 11% to 9.8%. Biesse finished 2023 with a Net income of EUR 12.48 million, compared to the EUR 30.3 million accounted for in 2022.
The past year's results, reflect Biesse's response to global challenges, with lower volumes in 2023 compared to the exceptional 2022. Despite uncertainties and a decline in orders, Biesse remains focused on efficiency measures and innovation. CEO Roberto Selci highlights the recent acquisition of GMM Group, expanding Biesse's product portfolio and enhancing its market presence.
Sales by geographical area shows that their was an increase was only in Eastern Europe (10.3%), while Western Europe, Asia-Oceania, North America and the Rest of the World recorded declines of 4.4%, 10.7%, 12.2% and 1.5% respectively.
