GERMANY - Siempelkamp and Sunds Fibertech have signed an agreement for the sale of the KüstersPress and ContiPress press service business.

With this transaction, agreed on December 12, Sunds Fibertech will become the OEM supplier for this technology area. The transfer date will be January 3, 2024.

KüstersPress and ContiPress technology is used in the production of MDF and particleboard. Between 1987 and 2006, more than 60 presses were delivered using this technology, and today more than 50 presses are still in operation worldwide. These presses require technological support, spare parts, service and modernization.

Sunds Fibertech will expand its technology center in Germany, in Willich, near Siempelkamp's headquarters in Krefeld, to increase sales, provide technical support, establish a workshop and a logistics center. The center will be entirely focused on KüstersPress and ContiPress technology.

"We are convinced that the Sunds Fibertech approach will ensure the best support and solutions for customers."

The new technology center will be approximately 2000m2, including offices, a customized workshop and the logistics center."

Sunds Fibertech supplies machinery and services to the panel board industry. The company is a technology leader with its own patents in areas such as energy recovery, capacity increase and emission control. Sunds Fibertech is a Swedish company headquartered in Timrå, Sweden. The company also has offices in China, Chile, Germany and Malaysia and representatives in several countries.
