GERMANY - Homag has officially declared its non-participation in the 2024 edition of Holz-Handwerk, the Nuremberg trade fair dedicated to woodworking.
According to the German group's headquarters, this decision stems from the current "weaker economy and the resulting decrease in order intake, necessitating stricter cost management."
"While it is a challenging decision for us, after careful analysis, we have chosen to prioritize leading international trade fairs such as Ligna in Hanover, Germany, Iwf in Atlanta, USA, or interzum in Guangzhou, China. However, this doesn't mean we have permanently canceled our participation in the Nuremberg trade fair. We will reassess the situation in two years," explained Homag CEO Daniel Schmitt.
The group plans to unveil its 2024 innovations to customers through various local and decentralized events. Daniel Schmitt emphasized, "During these decentralized and local events in Germany and neighboring countries, we can engage with our customers directly and present tailored solutions for their specific needs."
