USA - IWF recently announced that Biesse and Felder were among  the seven  winners in the 2022 IWF Challengers Distinguished Achievement Award competition.

The winners were selected from 20 finalists, narrowed down from a field of 86 total entries.

The 20 finalists performed live demonstrations for the judges’ review on Monday, August 22, the day prior to the opening of the IWF 2022.

Biesse America, the largest exhibitor at IWF 2022 won the IWF 2022 Challengers Award for its T-Jet: Dust Mitigation System. Patented by Biesse, the system removes chips and dust during milling operations.

Felder Group USA won the award with PCS (Preventative Contact System), a saw safety technology for industrial saws to keep operators safe using flesh-sensing through the saw blade which detects the conductivity around an operator’s hand.

The world-renowned IWF Challengers Award recognizes innovation in products, services, or manufacturing techniques that will advance the woodworking industry.
