GERMANY - Biesse Group opened the new Ulm Campus near Nersingen with a ceremony from 24 to 26 October. An area of about 1,500 square meters to exhibit the latest technological innovations. The company invested more than 5 million euros in the construction of the new showroom.
The newly inaugurated building boasts in particular an excellent infrastructural connection, being located directly at the intersection of highway 7 and highway 10. The new building stands on an area of 6,000 m2 which, in view of the many opportunities for training, education and exhibition offered, is called “Ulm Campus.”
Product demonstrations, training courses and various events take place throughout the year. The Ulm Campus houses the latest machinery and technologies for working wood, plastic, glass and stone. There are also two new meeting rooms, a training room and a software room where business partners and employees can organize seminars and training sessions. It will also present SOPHIA the innovative Biesse IoT platform that allows Biesse customers to connect their machines directly to Biesse’s remote maintenance service via an Internet connection.
The official opening ceremony took place on Friday, 25 October 2019. Local associations, trade journalists, customers and business partners were invited to attend. In this way, everyone can see the results of this unique investment in the region and experience the Biesse Group up close.
“Today we not only want to celebrate the opening of a new building, but also create the basis for a successful future. With the construction of the new exhibition and our modern education and training facilities, we are laying the foundation for new successes, from which our customers will also benefit. There is a demand for well-trained employees and they are the prerequisite for the professional and successful use of our technologies,” explained Jacek Pigorsch, Biesse Deutschland Managing Director at the ceremony.
