RedDot Award for the new man-machine interface of Scm Group and NiEW

ITALY - Scm Group, a world leader in machines and industrial components, and NiEW, a company dedicated to business design and specialized customer experience in the industrial field, achieved an important recognition for Italian industry and design: The Master Active man-machine interface project has won the RedDot Award in the Brands & Communication Design 2019 category.

The jury of this prestigious world competition, in its sixty-fifth edition, has recognized the high level of design, innovation and creativity of the product "made in Italy" after having evaluated with great attention more than 8,000 international projects candidates for different categories.

Maestro Active, which had already obtained a special mention in February 2019 in the German Design Award, is the realization of a concept of the corporate operating system made by NiEW capable of operating on all product lines and devices of Scm Group, in key Industry 4.0 and Industrial IoT. In fact, the aim is to create a single cross-cutting interface to all the Group's technologies that, in addition to responding to the most innovative contemporary IT design requirements, allows any operator, regardless of language, cultural background to approach directly and with confidence machines that differ greatly from each other. The interface adapts to the user’s language characteristics, computer literacy and information complexity, also offering suggestions for using the machine effectively.
