JAPAN - Siempelkamp will supply a new chipboard plant to ENboard Co. Ltd., the new joint venture of the furniture manufacturer Eidai Co., Ltd. and leading wooden panel manufacturer Japan Novopan Industrial Company Ltd, a leader for decades among Japanese wood-based panel manufacturers.

The order for a new production plant ranges from wood preparation to final production including the overall planning of the plant.

The order also includes all core machines for wood processing technology, energy generation and drying as well as classification and gluing systems. Siempelkamp also supplies the forming and press lines as well as the board handling systems. The heart of the new plant is a 7 ft x 47.1 m ContiRoll® Generation 9 press.

The plant is to be operated mainly with recycled wood and will mainly serve the local market with formaldehyde-free bonded, particularly heavy chipboard.

The new plant will be prominently located in Shizuoka Prefecture, at the foot of Mount Fuji, Japan's World Heritage and landmark.
