CHINA – In the beginning of February, Siempelkamp, one of the leading system suppliers for press technology, has produced the first board on a new MDF/HDF production line for China’s Yekalon Group.

This means the completion of the plant is in its final stages and in accordance with the timetable. The installation of the plant started in April 2018.

The line is designed for the high-speed production of thin boards and includes a 9’ x 33.8 m ContiRoll Generation 8 press.

After becoming fully operational, the plant will produce 300,000 m3 of MDF/HDF annually.

The customer of this plant is the Chinese Yekalon Group, which, among other things, produces and sells high quality laminate flooring and other wood based panel products for the building and interior decoration sector.

The Siempelkamp Group is a technology supplier operating internationally and consisting of three business units: the machinery and plant engineering, the foundry technology, and the engineering and service business unit.
