ITALY – For the Biesse Group EBITDA was up 51,9% in 2013 reaching EUR 34,3 million, compared to EUR 22,6 million in 2012.

Which represented an improvement of EBITDA margin of 3,2 percentage points from 5,9% in 2012 to 9.1% in 2013. This performance allowed Biesse Group to once again obtain positive net earnings in the year of EUR 6,4 million compared to a loss of 6,5 million in 2012. 

The Italian manufacturer of woodworking machinery achievements in 2013 included a sharp recovery in profitability and, above all, a significant reduction in net debt (EUR 23.9 million, down from EUR 32.3 million at December 2012) despite the continued and progressive increase in commercial and product investments.

The Group recently updated its industrial plan for the 2014-2016 period projecting a 7% average annual sales growth reaching EUR 464 million in 2016 (2013: EUR 378,4 million) with an EBITDA margin of 13,8%.
