GERMANY – Effective July 1, 2025, Dr. Stephan Niggeschmidt will take over as CEO of the Service Business Unit at Siempelkamp Group, and join the Management Board of Siempelkamp Holding.
He succeeds Stefan Wissing, who is set to retire at the end of the year after decades of service to the company.
Wissing will remain on the boards of Siempelkamp Holding, the Service Business Unit, and subsidiary Pallmann through the transition. “This is a personal decision,” said Wissing. “I’ve long planned to retire at the young age of 60. I’m very pleased to hand over responsibilities to my highly respected colleague Stephan Niggeschmidt, who will ensure a smooth transition and continuity with our customers.”
Dr. Niggeschmidt earned a PhD in industrial engineering and began his career at SMS in 2010. He joined Siempelkamp in 2013 as Head of Technical Field Service and was promoted to Managing Director of Siempelkamp Logistics & Service GmbH in 2018. He also manages Siempelkamp’s Turkish subsidiary and joined the Management Board of the Service Unit in 2023, where he led the Service Excellence Initiative, integrating global expertise into a unified service offering.
This includes spare parts, remote and field service, and full-scale modernizations of Siempelkamp’s plant technology.
Wissing, who joined the group in 1996, held senior roles nationally and internationally, contributing significantly to Siempelkamp’s global growth and success.
The Siempelkamp Management Board thanked Wissing for his outstanding service and extended best wishes for the future. Dr. Niggeschmidt was welcomed warmly into his new leadership role, as the company reaffirmed its focus on competent leadership and long-term sustainable development.
