GERMANY – Siempelkamp, in collaboration with Smartech, presented their innovative Prod-IQ SmartPress solution for autonomous production lines at the European Wood-Based Panel Symposium (EPF) in Hamburg and the China International Furniture Machinery & Woodworking Machinery Fair (WMF) in Shanghai.

The new software combines AI/ML technology and advanced analytics to optimize pressing lines in real time, driving efficiency and automation in wood-based panel manufacturing.

Gregor Bernardy, Head of Industrial IT & Data Analytics at Siempelkamp, emphasized the maturity and readiness of the Prod-IQ SmartPress for immediate implementation, citing strong industry interest at EPF. “The enthusiasm we received reflects how the industry recognizes the product’s potential,” he said.

Oren Yahav, AI Director at Smartech, highlighted the success of their collaboration with Siempelkamp, noting the positive reception of the technology by European industry leaders at the EPF. Hansjoerg Prettner, VP of Sales at Smartech, shared that customers were eager to learn how quickly they could integrate Prod-IQ SmartPress into their lines, underscoring the market’s readiness for increased autonomy in production.

At the WMF in Shanghai, Prod-IQ SmartPress received the “Innovation Exhibit” award, acknowledging its cutting-edge approach to intelligent production technologies.
