ITALY – From June 30 to July 2, took place “SCM Live Show”, a web based program with more than 24 hours of content, broadcasted live worldwide, in nine languages and spread over three days.
It was SCM’s solution in order to introduce the technological developments of 2020 that would have been presented at the various international fairs, postponed or cancelled since last February due to COVID-19 pandemic.
A real challenge for SCM, the multinational based in Rimini and a leader in the wood processing sector since 1952, which used innovative multimedia tools and channels to “open the doors” of its headquarters in Italy, through the web, to thousands of customers worldwide and to bring directly the new machines and industrial facilities dedicated to the wood processing sector: from the furniture industry to the enclosures and construction, to the artisan companies.
In order to make live connections, webinars and talk shows, the headquarters of Rimini and other production centers of the group in Italy were transformed into television sets. Thirty product webinars presented more than fifty technology solutions representing SCM’s wide range of products and services, starting with the Smart & Human Factory, the revamped custom digital factory for the furniture industry.
Live connections were also attended by the eighteen SCM direct management branches operating in the most strategic woodworking markets in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, the Americas and Oceania.
The response of companies in the sector was well above expectations, taking into account the data of access to the transmission platform created by SCM for the occasion: more than 4,000 participants from one hundred countries on all continents, with an average daily audience of 1,500 unique viewers.
