ITALY – According to a recent press release by SCM Group, global leader in woodworking technology, this choice is in line with the group’s investment strategy, which emphasizes enhancing the direct organization of open houses and tech tours at SCM’s global facilities.

1057SCM This approach aligns with the strategy introduced a few years ago to optimize global trade fair investments.

The decision to abstain from the German trade fair in 2024 resulted from a thorough assessment of the current socio-economic conditions and related business prospects. It also takes into account the “general uncertainties” observed in international markets, including the DACH area.

Pietro Gheller, the Director of Products and Markets in SCM’s Wood division, stated, “This decision does not rule out SCM’s potential return to the Nuremberg trade fair for future editions, as circumstances permit.”

SCM will continue to prioritize major international industry trade fairs and the organization of local events at its facilities worldwide. This approach allows them to maintain closer connections with clients in a more localized manner, promoting opportunities for exchange and relationships that consider specific local characteristics and demands.

As a result, SCM will increase its focus on open houses and local events.
