ITALY – “Campus”, the new training center of the SCM Group was inaugurated on Monday, January 28, in Villa Verucchio (Rimini) in the presence of the main institutional and educational authorities. This training center was born with the aim of coordinating and promoting all the activities aimed at developing the professional, technical, management and administration skills of the 4,000 people currently working for the group in the three major production centers in Italy and in twenty other branches abroad.
The center occupies an area of 1,300 square meters, in which 9 classrooms, offices and a training center prepared with SCM machines are distributed and dedicated to the training of assistance technicians.
Throughout 2019, 500 courses are planned for a total of 52,000 training hours, with around 3,200 participants. Among the main topics are digital trends related to manufacturing and Industry 4.0. and the training of the technicians in charge of the assistance.
Some of the training courses, depending on the needs, also extend to the distributors and final customers of the SCM Group work network. Likewise, the center is proposed as a reference partner for secondary schools, universities, vocational training entities and business schools with which SCM Group already collaborates in Italy and abroad, to carry out projects that alternate school and work, internships and training initiatives at the same time. Another objective is to contribute to the development of competencies that favor technological innovation in the various sectors in which the companies of the group all over the world are chosen as partners: from the furniture industry to construction, from the automotive sector to aerospace and from the nautical to the plastic materials work.
The Management of Human Resources and Organization of the SCM Group coordinate “Campus”, with trainers both from within the Group and from outside it, including freelancers and lecturers from leading universities and business schools.
