ITALY – SCM Group has acquired a 51% stake in Mecal Machinery, a leading manufacturer of machinery and systems for processing aluminium, PVC, and light alloys.
This acquisition strengthens SCM Group’s portfolio, offering advanced technological solutions for industries such as windows and doors, mechanical systems, and transportation.
Based in Pavia, Italy, Mecal Machinery is a vertically integrated company with 190 employees and an annual turnover of 45 million euros. Its production is 100% “Made in Italy.”
Marco Mancini, CEO of SCM Group, stated: “This acquisition allows us to enter a new market segment, expanding our range of technologies and services. The partnership with Mecal, following our collaboration with Tecno Logica in the industrial plant sector, opens up new business opportunities globally.”
Ennio Cavezzale, owner of Mecal Machinery, added: “Being part of SCM Group ensures Mecal’s role as a global leader, leveraging the group’s extensive sales and service network.”
Cavezzale will remain involved as Chairman of the Board.
