ITALY – The Italian Biessse Group one the leading global manufacturers of machinery for the woodworking and furniture industries, reported sales of EUR 427.1 million in 2014 a 12.9% increase compared prior year.

EBITDA reached EUR 40.9 million in the year, up 32.1% compared with 2013, representing a margin on revenues of 9.6%, 1.4p.p. more than in 2013. Net result of EUR 13.8 million was 115.3% higher compared with 2013. During 2014, the Biesse Wood Division represented 72.4% of sales,  the Glass/Stone Division 15.5% and the Mechatronics Division 14.8%. Sales distribution was led by Western Europe, 39.6% (37.5% in 2013) -of which Italy was 10.4% (10.9% in 2013); followed by Eastern Europe, with 19.7%; Asia Pacific, with 19.9%; North America, with 14.0% and the rest of the world with 6.8%.
