FINLAND – Raute reported results for the first quarter of 2018 (1Q-2018) where the volume of new orders received reached a very good level.
During the first quarter, the order intake was €68 million against the €24 million reached in 1Q-2017. The most significant new orders were a €23 million order for an LVL mill expansion in Finland, and a €20 million order for LVL line equipment for North-East Asia.
With head office and main production plant in Nastola, Finland, Raute, is a technology company serving the wood products industry worldwide. Its most important customers are the plywood and LVL industries.
In the 1Q-2018 the Company reported net sales of €35.3 million (1Q-2017: €36.6 million), a decline of 4 percent compared to 1Q-2017. Net sales were in line with the scheduling of the order book. Of the total net sales for the reporting period, Europe accounted for 54 percent, Russia for 22 percent, North America for 16 percent, South America for 5 percent, and Asia-Pacific for 3 percent (3%).
Technology services accounted for 30 percent of the Group’s total net sales and amounted to EUR 11 million in the 1Q-2018.
