U.S. – Stiles Machinery, Inc., a subsidiary of Homag Group celebrated on February 10th the grand opening of the Homag Machinery North America manufacturing facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan. 

Homag Machinery North America, formerly Weeke North America (WNA), currently manufactures the Weeke Vantech line of CNC routers and the ABD series of CNC drilling and dowel machines. The new expansion and company name are part of a continued strategy by the  Homag Group to invest in manufacturing demands for the local market. The naming of the new North America manufacturing location aligns now with other international Homag Machinery locations.

“With Weeke as part of Homag Group we have positioned ourselves as the global leader in the North American wood working market”, says Andreas Muehlbauer, EVP of Operations for Stiles Machinery. “We are anticipating future growth based on the market demand that we are currently seeing and this new facility will allow us to offer local manufacturing according to the specific needs of the North American market”.

The new Homag Machinery North America facility offers 100,000 square feet of manufacturing and office space. Improvements in the new factory doubles the production capacity with a streamlined manufacturing flow, which applies the latest technologies and workflow processes to achieve efficient optimization.
