GERMANY – According to the top European industry associations and data from the main machinery manufacturers, in 2015 global machinery market size for woodworking and woodpanel machinery was estimates at EUR 3.3 billion.

The Top 3 global machinery and systems suppliers – Homag, SCM and Biesse – increased in 2015 their combined sales by 17.4% to EUR 1.79 billion accounting for an estimated global market share of 54.5%.

The fastest growth among the Top 3 global machinery manufacturers in 2015 was obtained by SCM Group with a sales growth of 23.4%. Closely followed by Biesse Group with a 22.6% growth. In 2015 the market leader, Homag Group, surpassed for the first time the EUR 1 billion mark in sales, totaling EUR 1,039 billion, and a market share estimated at 31.5%.
