GERMANY – The IMA Schelling Group has decided not to participate in the LIGNA trade fair next year. Factors such as the uncertain development of the pandemic in spring 2021 and the restrictions at the trade fair due to Corona contributed to the decision.

899IMA SCHELLING In principle, IMA Schelling sees trade fair concepts such as LIGNA as an important forum for exchanging ideas with customers in the future. However, since an in-house exhibition also offers an excellent opportunity to present products and innovations, IMA Schelling had decided to organize its own open house on the week before Ligna.

During IMA Schelling’s open house customers will have the opportunity to view a complete production chain and gain an insight into the Lübbecke plant.

In this way, the company can ensure that all hygiene guidelines are adhered to and that the brand’s highlights are presented in the usual way. As an alternative to an on-site visit, digital participation is also possible.

“Special times require special measures and we want to do our customers justice the best possible way,” emphasizes Wolfgang Rohner, CEO of the IMA Schelling Group. “We look to the future with optimism, because due to the pandemic, many people have given up their vacation this year and are instead investing in their apartments and houses. This has a positive effect on the furniture and kitchen industry,” concludes Rohner.
