GERMANY – The furniture industry is booming and the IMA Schelling Group is benefiting from high order growth.
In order to cope with the increasing demand for high-performance, innovative machines and plants for woodworking, IMA Schelling has now started the construction of another 4,200 m² production facility (Hall 1) including a three-story office building with a usable area of 750 m². Completion is scheduled for the second quarter of 2018.
The new Hall 1 replaces the space requirements previously covered by rented halls in Bünde and Herford. Among other things, the office complex will house the Installation and Customer Services (ICS) department with around 55 workstations.
“With the new building, we bundle our activities at the Lübbecke location and are thus able to serve the high demand for our machines and plants even better and faster and to serve our customers even more effectively. In addition, because driving and travel times for our employees are eliminated, we simultaneously improve our overall efficiency,” explains Bernhard Berger, managing partner of the IMA Schelling Group.
