GERMANY – Homag, a global leader in woodworking technology, is integrating Dürr’s adhesive processing products to create vacuum tables for its Sawteq saws.

This collaboration introduces Dürr’s automotive adhesive technology into the woodworking industry.

Dürr, a leading mechanical and plant manufacturer, is expanding its adhesive applications beyond automotive to various industries. Their modular system, with standardized software, addresses component joining challenges effectively. “We’re excited to have Homag as a reference project,” said Fabian Schilt, Head of European Industrial Sales at Dürr. “This partnership brings automotive-grade technology to woodworking.”

Homag’s horizontal panel saws offer precise cutting with air cushion tables for easy handling. Previously, table tops were fixed and sealed manually. “To improve accuracy and quality, we automated the process with Dürr products,” explains Dennis König, Project Manager at Homag. Installation of Dürr’s EcoRam press, EcoShot Meter, and EcoGun2 PVA04, controlled by the EcoHVMP4 unit, is underway and expected by early 2025.

Dürr will also debut its EcoHVC4 software with this project, enabling flexible component integration through standardized interfaces. The system ensures efficient operation and thorough testing.

Dürr will showcase its painting and gluing products for the wood and furniture industry at the Homag Treff event in Schopfloch from September 24 to 27.
