BRAZIL – German machine and plant manufacturer Dieffenbacher is restructuring its Wood business unit in Latin America, effective July 1, 2024.
With a team now expanded to six employees, the company is moving its Brazilian subsidiary from Curitiba, approximately 200 km south, to Itajaí. Diego Coelho de Oliveira, appointed as the new Managing Director of Dieffenbacher do Brasil, will continue in his role as Area Sales Director for the region.
“We’re enhancing our presence in Latin America,” says Ralf Schmidt, Head of Global Lifetime Service Wood & Recycling at Dieffenbacher. “By relocating our office to Itajaí, we aim to accelerate customer service, strengthen our partnerships with clients in Latin America, and better meet their needs.”
“We now have a team of six on the ground in Latin America. This strengthens our ability to tackle the challenges of the local wood-based panels market,” adds Diego Coelho de Oliveira.
“We’ve specifically bolstered our team with Thiago Furbino Soares as Head of Lifetime Service Latin America, and Service Technicians Ivan Dos Santos Oliveira and Evandro Rodrigo Satyrio da Rocha. All three bring extensive experience in servicing the wood-based panels industry or related sectors. Together with our Service Technician Bruno de Oliveira, Technologist Peter Rath, and myself, we constitute a skilled and effective Dieffenbacher team for Latin America,” Coelho de Oliveira further explains.
Dieffenbacher do Brasil’s service portfolio includes preventive services such as plant inspections and optimizations by the Dieffenbacher Performance Team, tailored spare and wear parts packages, inventory consultations, professional training, and access to the digital platform EVORIS. Reactive services encompass on-site support, remote assistance via MyDieffenbacher, and access to the online spare parts catalog MyDieffenbacher Parts.
