ITALY – Effective October 7, 2024, Dieffenbacher , a leading German machine and plant manufacturer, has acquired the Italian family-owned company Pagnoni Impianti S.r.l., located in Aicurzio, about 30 kilometers northeast of Milan.
The company will now operate under the name Pagnoni Dieffenbacher S.r.l. This acquisition brings with it the expertise and assets of Pagnoni, including its dedicated four-person team led by Managing Director Michele Pagnoni, a sixth-generation member of the family.
Founded in 1848 by brothers Stefano and Martino Pagnoni, the company originally manufactured oil presses and pasta-making machines. Over the years, it evolved to focus on producing presses for particleboard, plywood, MDF, and decorative laminates.
Lukas Langer, CFO of Dieffenbacher, stated, “Pagnoni aligns perfectly with our values. The company is well-respected in the industry for its partnership-based approach and high-quality machinery. With Michele Pagnoni, we gain a proven expert known for his extensive technical knowledge and support.”
In the initial phase, Dieffenbacher will prioritize support for Pagnoni’s existing customers, ensuring continuity through familiar contacts. Customers will have the option to reach out to either Pagnoni or Dieffenbacher’s global service network for assistance.
Looking ahead, Dieffenbacher intends to incorporate Pagnoni’s products into its portfolio, particularly enhancing its offerings with short-cycle and HPL plants. Langer concluded, “We warmly welcome Michele Pagnoni and his team to Dieffenbacher and look forward to a successful collaboration that benefits both companies.”
