ITALY – The Biesse Group, a global leader in technologies for processing wood, reported revenues of EUR 482.4 million as of September 30, 2025, marking a 14% decrease compared to the same period in 2024.
The decline reflects continued geopolitical uncertainty and macroeconomic pressures, including higher U.S. tariffs.
Since June, the Group has reinforced its focus on human resources while maintaining managerial flexibility and financial discipline. Following a mid-year change in leadership, the new management has introduced cost-containment measures such as investment rationalization, procurement optimization, and tighter operational monitoring to safeguard financial sustainability.
“In recent months, we have focused on aligning strategic priorities with operational actions,” said Group CFO Pierre La Tour. “Our efforts are aimed at improving order fulfillment and reducing delivery times while preserving financial strength. Although the environment remains challenging, we expect tangible results starting next quarter.”
At the end of the third quarter, Biesse’s order backlog stood at EUR 210.9 million, down 17.4% from December 2024 (EUR 255.2 million). Order intake decreased 11.9% year-over-year, reflecting lower turnover during the period.
Regionally, as of September 30, 2025, the Group’s sales were distributed as follows: EMEA 60.2% (down from 62.7%), AMERICAS 25.1% (up from 23.5%), and APAC 14.8% (up from 13.8%).
