SPAIN – Thanks to the collaboration with Accenture, Biesse Group has obtained a worldwide recognition at the IOT Solutions World Congress, held from 3 to 5 October 2017 in Barcelona.
This congress is the largest event worldwide on the Internet of Things, in which more than 250 professionals and experts from the industry come together to share knowledge and perspectives, and to explain how the internet of things is affecting industries such as manufacturing, health care, energy, transportation, construction and infrastructure, retail, agriculture, mining, hospitality and others.
The IoT Solutions Award, which took place on 4 October with more than 500 industry leaders, awarded the most innovative projects that have been developed over the course of the year. Introduced by Accenture as a successful case history in the Industrial Transformation, Biesse obtained a global recognition about its willingness to change thanks to the ability to create innovation through integrated solutions that are both sophisticated and easy to use allowing customers to produce more, better and at lower costs.
The solution, developed in conjunction with Accenture, allows Biesse to access real-time data from sensors installed on the machines. Through a predictive analysis based on the knowledge obtained from previous cases, Biesse can reduce labor costs and improve customer service, expanding its post sales market.
Paolo Tarchioni, Biesse Group Innovation Director commented: “This award is an important confirmation from the international community about the great quality and innovation of our IIot project. It is a recognition about the great value of SOPHIA, the Biesse platform created by the IoT project, and a strong motivation to continue actively in the development plan”.
The Sophia platform was officially launched at Inside Biesse, the annual Open House that took place from 19 to 21 October at the Biesse Campus in Pesaro.
