ARGENTINA – Argentinian imports of Italian woodworking machinery reached USD 7,205,567 in the January – September (9M) period compared to USD 4,373,846 in the same period 2015.
These figures represent a sharp 64.7% increase in imports of Italian woodworking machinery to Argentina.
The main Italian suppliers to the Argentinian market in the period were SCM and Biesse, with shipments of USD 3,091,813 and USD 2,330,748 respectively. Both manufacturers also recorded important growth ratios against the same period of the previous year, SCM growing more than 235% and Biesse 60%.
The rise in 2016 Italian machinery imports in the Argentinian market can also be explained by important investments in modern machinery made by local furniture manufacturers such as Richezze, Mosconi and Zozzoli among others.
