CHILE – Arauco had an outstanding participation in the 17th International Forestry, Pulp and Paper Fair – EXPOCORMA 2013, held in Concepción, Chile. More than 370 national and international exhibiting companies from 32 countries participated at this year’s edition that took place from Novembre 6 to 8.
Arauco’s stand was very well regarded by authorities and the public in general. The company built a wooden structure inside the exhibition area, symbolizing a forest built with Arauco products. In a way that was both simple and educational, the company presented its different business units (Forestry, Pulp, Timber, Panels and Energy), as well as the main activities the company performs in relation to education, the community and research.
At the exhibition, Arauco’s Chairman of the Board, Manuel Bezanilla, highlighted the importance of Expocorma for the industry, stating that, “It allows us to fully show people what we do. It’s also an important venue where we can see progress made by the forestry sector and its supply chain, which is related to silviculture, harvesting, transport, suppliers and many others. Hundreds of suppliers and thousands of people take part in this supply chain, adding value to the industry as a whole.”
