ITALY – SCM, a leading woodworking machinery and technology manufacturer, records an outstanding trend in the first months of 2021.
As confirmed by Luigi De Vito, SCM Division Director, the main figures for this first part of the year are extremely positive and the opportunities and customer contacts are increasing day by day.
“We see 2021 as a year in which to consolidate all our strategic markets – says De Vito -. The woodworking industry is showing considerable strength, vitality and courage and the initiatives and incentives to support the manufacturing industry, promoted in various European countries and the rest of the world, are a good omen”.
SCM continues to invest in technology, skills, services and innovation to support its customers with the “Smart&Human Factory”: the vision of a digital factory with state-of-the-art automation systems, but accessible to everyone and based on a profoundly human approach and an all-round rapport with the customer.
SCM also continues to invest in its industrial poles. At Sinalunga, the centre for excellence of SCM technologies for timber construction, the company has planned to expand the production area by 50%. Furthermore, SCM will further consolidate the investments already set aside for the expansion of the production poles in Thiene, for edgebanding, Vigolzone for squaring technologies, and Villasanta for finishing.
