MEXICO - Sodimac opened its tenth store as part of its growth strategy in Mexico.
It is its first "neighborhood" store in Mexico City. Under a new smaller store format, located next to the Central de Abasto in the Iztapalapa district, customers can find everything they need to build, remodel, maintain and decorate their homes.
The store has a total area of more than 4,000 m2, and offers more than 10,000 different products in stock and around 30,000 available through the website. The new branch generates 80 direct jobs and 50 indirect jobs for service providers, the company said in a press release.
The new Sodimac joins its more than 250 points of sale in Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Peru and Uruguay, with a "neighborhood" store concept that allows customers to quickly and easily find products and services for their home projects. In addition, this opening is part of the alliance between the Falabella group and Organización Soriana since 2016, which seeks to develop the home improvement chain and the Falabella Soriana credit card, with financing alternatives that allow customers to make their projects a reality.
