MEXICO - The Home Depot Mexico plans to open up to 21 new stores in the country in the next four years, said José Antonio Rodríguez Garza, president and CEO of the store in the country.

954HOMEDEPOTIn an interview with El Heraldo de Chihuahua, he assured that this year the company has injected 3.33 billion pesos (USD 158 million), representing a 39 percent increase over the previous year's amount.

"We have an aggressive expansion plan, not only for stores, but also for logistics centers, all this under an interconnected approach, that is to say, everything designed for the store has to be designed for the online site," he said, while detailing that the goal is to reach between 145 and 150 stores in the next three or four years.

Twenty years ago, The Home Depot acquired Total Home, a chain of four home improvement stores in Mexico. It was the beginning of what are now 129 stores with more than 18,000 employees in all 32 Mexican states.
