Falabella, Ripley and Paris join the store closings in Chile

875RETAILThe South American department store giants will join the measures announced by the Chilean authorities and will close all their establishments as of this Thursday, as a measure to control the spread of the pandemic in the country.

The department store chains join the directives announced this Wednesday by the Minister of Economy, Development and Tourism of Chile, Lucas Palacios, indicating that only the basic commercial establishments will be kept open.

Adding to a measure already taken by other affected countries such as Germany, France, Spain and Italy.

The three department store chains will remain closed from this Thursday and for the moment the reopening date has not been confirmed.

Falabella operates close to fifty stores in Chilean territory, Ripley has 48 stores and Paris had about forty stores at the end of 2019.
