COLOMBIA – Latin American countries have seen a notable increase in the import of wooden furniture in 2024 compared to the previous year, with a collective surge of 32,6%. The data shows that the total import value of wooden furniture reached USD 839.13 million, up from USD 632.80 million in 2023.

Mexico leads the region with the highest import value, totaling USD 295.77 million, a robust 43,8% increase from the previous year. Other key markets also displayed strong growth, including the Dominican Republic, which saw a 51% rise, and Peru, which recorded a 47,6% increase.
Notably, Venezuela demonstrated a remarkable recovery, with a 150,1% surge in imports, reflecting an increase from USD 4.05 million in 2023 to USD 10.14 million in 2024*.
On the downside, Bolivia experienced a decline of 36.7%, dropping from USD 6.89 million in 2023 to USD 4.37 million in 2024. Similarly, Honduras and Paraguay saw modest increases, with 3.5% and 7.7% growth, respectively.
Other countries, including Argentina, Brazil, and Colombia, also showed substantial growth, with Argentina increasing by 62.1% and Brazil by 33.1%.
