URUGUAY – By the end of this week is scheduled to open the second Sodimac store in Uruguay. Located in Sayago, Montevideo, the store occupies an area of 10,000 m2 and will include the Homecenter and Constructor formats.
With the opening of the Sayago store Thursday, Sodimac completed an investment of USD 40 million for the entry into this market. The construction of a third store is slated to start in the next six months. Sodimac landed in Uruguay on March 26 this year with the opening of its first store in the country, also with the Homecenter and Constructor format and located in the Giannattasio Ave. in Montevideo.
