Sales of Maestro up 19% Due to Dynamic Construction Sector

PERU (AméricaRetail).-  Peruvian Home Improvement chain, Maestro, reached sales of S/ 341.9 million (USD130 million) in the 1Q-2013, an increase of 19.6% in comparison to same period 2012. This result is due to the company’s commercial strategy and the continuous improvement observed in the economy´s domestic demand and construction sector.

Along with the consolidation of existing stores and the opening of three new stores in Lima and four in the provinces as informed by the company. Gross profit in the period amounted to S/. 94.4 million (USD$36 million) representing a 24.6% improvement compared to same period prior year.
