USA – Würth Baer Supply Company announced the acquisition of Russell Plywood, based in Reading, Pennsylvania, with an additional site in Wilmington, Delaware.

CEO John Geraghty expressed excitement about adding Russell Plywood to Würth’s portfolio, noting their strong reputation and service in the Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey markets. The acquisition, completed on January 31, 2024, will see Russell Plywood operate as a division of Würth Baer Supply Company.

Russell Plywood, established in 1953, specializes in high-quality hardwood veneer plywood and related panel products, serving the Northeastern U.S. market. The company imports products from around the world, offering a comprehensive range with numerous applications in cabinetry, flooring, countertops, and more.

Würth Baer Supply Company, founded in 1950 and headquartered in Vernon, Illinois, is a leading specialty wholesale distributor in the woodworking industry, offering an extensive inventory of hardware, tools, surfacing materials, and more. As part of the Würth Group, it operates globally, with over 400 companies in 85 countries.

Russell DiGiallorenzo Jr., CEO and Owner of Russell Plywood, expressed optimism about the future under Würth’s ownership, while Steven Rathbone, Managing Director at Stout, emphasized the cultural fit between the two companies.
