PERU – Promart, the home improvement chain of Peru’s Intercorp Group, plans to expand its network to complete 30 stores in the country by 2018.
In line with this objective, CEO, Francisco de la Roza, stated as reported by Gestion newspaper, that this year seven stores will be added to the 16 they currently have, closing 2015 with 23 outlets in the country. The remaining seven will open in the next two years.
Of the seven store openings planned in 2015, six will be in the provinces and one in Lima. Apart from the capital, Promart is also present in the cities of Trujillo, Sullana, Piura, Cajamarca, Chiclayo, Huancayo, Huanuco, Pucallpa, Juliaca and Cusco.
“The growth plan is very aggressive this year since we aim to be an alternative for consumers, with stores in a greater number of places, penetrating new markets in cities where we are not yet present, while continuing our growth in Lima,” said De la Roza.
